“Spaghetti” and Meatballs

Happy Monday!!  I hope you all had a great weekend!

When I did my first Whole30 I struggled with what to make for dinner that my whole family would eat!  Since I was the only one doing Whole30, I felt like my family held their breath when they asked what was for dinner.  They were used to eating cheesy casseroles, mac-n-cheese, corn, bread, pasta, etc.  Needless to say they were not happy I decided to cook and eat healthy!

Well, I managed to find ways to incorporate what they like with Whole30 compliant recipes!!  Like this “spaghetti” and meatballs!!

They are super easy to make, super tasty and great leftover!  When I make this I make zoodles* for myself and veggie noodles (like THESE) for my family!  Add a salad and you are good to go!

*TIP – once you Spiralizer the zucchini…

– line a cookie sheet with paper towels

– spread zoodles on top of paper towels and sprinkle with salt

– let sit for at least 30 minutes

– using either a cheese cloth or paper towels wrap zoodles and squeeze out excess water.

This will help keep your sauce from getting to thin once plated.

Now go make this yummy dinner!!  Oh, and use my new favorite sauce!


“Spaghetti” and Meatballs

Whole30, Paleo, Zoodles, Meatballs


  • 1 Pounds Ground Pork
  • 1/2 Pound Ground Beef
  • 1 TBSP Italian Seasoning
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 TBSP Parsley, Finely Chopped (extra for garnish)
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1 Jar Marinara Sauce (I used Mario Batali brand)
  • 2 Zucchini (spiralized) (see post for tip)


  1. Preheat Oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Place all ingredients in a bowl and using your hands mash it all up until it is combined. 

  3. Once all of the ingredients are combined scoop out into balls (I used THIS scoop).  Place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment or a silicone mat.

  4. Cook for 20 minutes or until cooked through.

  5. Once Meatballs are done, poor jar of sauce into a pot and add meatballs (if you have too many you can freeze the rest to use later).  Simmer over medium heat until sauce is heated and meatballs are coated with sauce.

  6. Spoon over zoodles and enjoy!
